Light:
Orchids need good light. We recommend bright indirect light – no direct sunlight!
Water:
Err on the side of dryness rather than overwatering your orchid. Depending on the soil medium (bark tends to go dryer quicker as opposed to a mossy compost), water every 7-10 days. Place in the sink and let a lukewarm slow stream run through for about 10 seconds. The container should be lightweight right before watering.
Repotting:
Resist repotting your orchid unless it is outgrowing the original container. They actually prefer tight confinement.
Reblooming:
Eventually the blooms will fall off the orchid stems. After this happens, leave the stem as is for some time and then cut it back down to the stalk. Place it back in it's happy place. This is a good time to forget about it and only water it once a month. A little orchid fertilizer will help too! Orchids bloom annually so patience is key!
